A one component phase diagram is a diagram that contain a great amount of information regarding the phases of a substance e.g. CO2. Depending on temperature and pressure, CO2 can exist as as a solid, liquid, and as a gas. In the figure below the x-axis represents pressure, while the y-axis represents the temperature.
